Privacy Policy

Plans helps you decide what to do nearby. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We don't sell your data and the app doesn't show ads. The app does not track you across other apps or websites.

What we collect

• Your location, only while you plan. When you make a plan or search nearby, the app uses your location (precise or approximate, your choice) to find places close to you. We never collect location in the background. You can type a location instead.
• Searches. The text you type (for example "four of us, $50 each") and a rough area of about 5 km (3 miles) are saved so we can improve results. We never store your exact coordinates.
• An anonymous account ID. The app creates an anonymous ID so you can save and share plans without giving us your name, email or phone number.
• Plans you share. When you share a plan, we store its stops, times (including any reservation time you mark) and costs, plus your first name if you enter one, so friends can open the link. For places from Google we store only the place ID, not Google's content. Friends who open the link can reply with the first name they type and their answer, and can suggest another spot by typing a place name. Those names and suggestions are visible to the host and anyone with the link, and are removed when the plan is deleted.
• On your iPhone only. Your name, favorites, preferences and plan history are stored on your device, not on our server.

Who helps us provide the service

To find places, events and weather, the app or our server sends your location or search area to these services, which process it under their own privacy terms:

• Apple Maps (places, directions and travel times)
• Google Maps Platform (opening hours, prices, ratings and maps)
• Ticketmaster (events)
• Open-Meteo (weather)
• Anthropic (understanding the sentence you type, only if you turn on AI understanding; we send the text, your local time and your area name, never your identity)
• Supabase (hosting our database and server)

How long we keep it

Searches are kept for up to 12 months to improve suggestions. If you tap "Yes" or "Not really" on a plan (and optionally a reason from a short list), that tap is saved without your name or the plan's contents, for up to 12 months, and only shown to us as totals. Shared plans stay available until you delete them or your account. To prevent abuse, our server keeps the IP address of each request for about a day. If you close the app while browsing ideas, that list may stay on your iPhone for up to 3 hours so you can pick up where you left off. You can delete everything at any time.

Partner links and our website

Some ticket and booking links in Plans (for example "Tickets") may be affiliate links. If you buy through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Paid or affiliate links never change how plans are ranked, and we label them. When you tap one, you leave Plans and the partner's own privacy policy applies. We do not share your plans, searches or location with these partners.

Our public website (not the app, and not shared plan pages) uses a partner script from Travelpayouts that may set cookies or use similar technology to measure visits and attribute commissions. You can block these with your browser's cookie settings.

Your choices

• Use precise, approximate or manual location, or turn location off, in Profile.
• Delete your location history (on your iPhone and on our server) in Profile.
• Turn AI understanding off in Profile.
• Turn personalization off or reset it in Profile.
• Delete your account and all data in Profile, then Your data. This is permanent.

Children

Plans isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from them.
